HOW TO JOIN IN THE PARADE
It's EASY! Just follow the directions:
1. Choose orchestral section (below) that serves your ability/interest
2. Meet at designated location (with instrument, if applicable) on Saturday at 10:45-11am:
THE SECTIONS
PERCUSSION
(easiest section for non-musicians)
clapping, tambourine, drums, fork & pan, bean-shaker, etc. BE IMAGINITIVE!
(dress in red/orange)
meet at 300 E Pine (trail entrance)
BASS
bass guitar, trombone, tuba, vocals, etc.
(dress in green)
meet at end of 300 block of W Elm
MELODY
flute, violin, brass, kazoo, vocals, etc
(dress in yellow/white)
meet at 400 block of E Elm (trail entrance)
CHORDS/STRING
guitar, ukulele, mandolin, etc
(dress in blue/purple)
meet at end of 200 block of W Cedar
TIMELINE
1. 10:45-11am participants gather with their orchestral section in 1 of 4 locations (listed above)
2. 11-11:15am Participants rehearse the very simple short theme.
3. 11:20-11:30am Parade begins, All 4 sections march to their corner of Wenonah Park, repeating the musical theme.
4. 11:35am-Noon once all sections have arrived at park corners, they will proceed to march to the park's center, uniting into one cohesive orchestra party. A big roving jam session ensues.
